This chiptune song is about being a prisoner of human nature, the conflict between longing for connection and the urge to isolate yourself. Spikes in the thumbnail art symbolize Schopenhauer's hedgehog's dilemma. We're social creatures so we naturally get hurt by our own loneliness when we push people away, but we also get hurt by people when we try to connect. It's an endless cycle between getting hurt by our evolved nature, and continuing to hurt each other with our love.
