Shifting Inwards YT
Description
Heya, I hope y'all doing good! Sorry I've been absent for a while, I didn't post any update or song. I got overwhelmed by everything and had a lot to digest (all sorts of things both music and outside of music that I don't even wanna bother talking about). If you can't already tell from my channel, I'm a pretty sensitive guy lol. It's been building up for a long time and eventually it reached a limit so my mental health gave up so I stopped functioning properly and withdrew without knowing, this reflected not just on YouTube, but on my personal relationships as well. I decided to take a break and change my direction with my music. I'm planning to make a channel update + Q&A video where I'll talk about more about this direction. Not promising to make an update video, maybe I can do it with a post instead or maybe never do it, I don't like planning. But I definitely want to make a Q&A at some point to connect with this beautiful community. I've always wanted to create a small community like this, a safe place for me and people like me. I genuinely appreciate all the love and support and it's all really meaningful. I wasn't expecting the interest that last video got, not in terms of views but in terms of depth. Many people wrote long, deep, personal and beautiful comments in my last song, but some people also got discouraged or even pissed off, it wasn't my intention to spread negativity and I'm sorry for it. Due to character limitation and lack of nuance, it also caused many misinterpretations. I will go over some of them end this with a (somewhat still very bleak but positive) message.
I've never made music to please an audience, and that's not the reason why I've burnt out. I make music only for myself and my raw expressive sincerity should sound clear in the feelings my songs carry. The most valuable art doesn't come from suffering, it comes from any kind of expression, whether it's an expression of a blooming flower or a heartbreak. It can be about anything. I put it that way because usually the strongest "need" for expression comes from pain and not beauty. It's easier to get affected by bad stuff and harder to recognize and express beauty. And I'm aware that there are both artists and people who feel content with themselves, or "simpletons" with complicated problems in their lives. I'm aware life isn't all black and white and I'm aware there's not only suffering. I know the cozy feeling of watching a sunset, or just spending some really simple time with your friend and feel that... warmth of the friendship, that makes you wanna say "I love you dude". I can't go over all the complexities of life and share all my insights through YT descriptions. Life is indeed full of colors, but my point is that what do you get when you mix all the colors? You get black. I'm not gonna repeat this topic so if you're interested, listen and read the description of my "Desire to Not Exist" album. If someone says "There's a light at the end of the tunnel" that's probably another train coming towards us. We're all humans tied to rails with ropes, without any control over it, that train will always keep coming over and over. Creating or not creating, connection or isolation, love or hate. Everything hurts so badly, and no matter what you do, pain will always outweigh the pleasure. That's the inevitable nature of existence. But which kind of pain you choose? We're all stuck in this, Ouroboros, the endless cycle of trains crushing us, and all we can do is to loosen the ropes and make it slightly more comfortable for us and the others. So choose the less painful one for you and others. Not because it's the solution or salvation, not because "It's the little things that matter" "Create your own meaning" "Rebel against the absurd", not because any of that BS. But because it's the single logical option we unfortunately forced to have. If you know me, I've always talked about the importance of communication, connection, friendship, community, confronting problems and being vulnerable. We're human beings and we're not meant to stagnate and isolate, we're wired to connect. Trust me, it feels worse to feel numb and hollow. So my message is: LOVE, CONNECT, AND CREATE. Not because these things are something that's supposed to be cherished, but because we don't have any other option in this dreadful existence to make things slightly better. Love itself isn't beautiful, it's the best of the worst.
